I recently spent three hours with Mary in a seminar. I liked her, she's an easy person to be around, we talked at several breaks.

Mary works in a very unique market, Taos, New Mexico. A beautiful small town, less than an hour from Santa Fe. There are a lot of interesting people in Taos, New Mexico. Thinkers. Artists. Creative people who love their community.

Mary is associated with a fine company, CENTURY 21® Success, LLC, who has been in business in Taos for decades. She enjoys an association with a fairly large team of outstanding real estate people. All in all, Mary is in a good situation and is making the most of it.

But, I featured Mary this week because she actually did something I wish every one of our customers would do-she called and asked for some help with her advertising.

Rick grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado and moved to Durango in 1986. After graduating from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, with a degree in Business Administration, Rick settled into the Durango lifestyle. An economist by education, Russell worked for the Federal Reserve Bank right out of college.

Then, the real estate bug bit him. He opened a crummy office in downtown Pueblo; one he actually had to crawl through the window to get in.

Soon enough, Russell partnered up with four of the finest real estate people in Colorado, they bought a Coldwell Banker franchise, a big building and were off to the races.

Coldwell Banker Partners exploded, hiring 44 agents their first 24 months in business and moving from a distant #6 in the market to a strong #1 position.

Today the company has around 100 agents, housed in two state-of-the-art multi-million dollar buildings. See, one of Russell's special gifts in life is buying commercial real estate. And he buys his share!

But, Russell has some other God given talents too. A superior manager who gets the details done and keeps his people's respect, trust and loyalty.
